What’s the role?
Reporting directly to the Brewery Director, you’ll play a key role in driving process excellence and continuous improvement across the Manchester site. As a Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for championing and embedding our TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) strategy, ensuring it is effectively implemented and sustained across operations. This role sits at the heart of the operation, working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to improve equipment performance, process capability and operational efficiency. You’ll coordinate, organise and support TPM implementation in line with site, national and global TPM strategic plans, with a clear focus on delivering sustainable improvements in safety, quality, cost and delivery. Using data, problem-solving methodologies and your strong understanding of manufacturing processes, you’ll identify loss areas, support root cause analysis and ensure improvement actions are owned and delivered by the right teams. As the Manchester TPM Champion, you’ll lead by influence, coaching teams at all levels and helping to build capability across the site. With your experience of leading change in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you’ll play a critical role in engaging colleagues, embedding standard ways of working and ensuring continuous improvement becomes part of how the site operates day to day.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a hands-on and collaborative Process Engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement and thrives in an operational environment. You’ll be comfortable working on the shop floor, influencing stakeholders and translating strategy into practical action. Ideally, you’ll also bring:
- Proven experience delivering continuous improvement, Lean and/or TPM initiatives within an FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment performance and loss analysis
- Experience leading or supporting change management initiatives and facilitating workshops or improvement activities
- A data-driven, problem-solving mindset with experience using CI tools and methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Global HEINEKEN Auditor Status (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential
Our Benefits
In addition to your base salary, you’ll also receive:
- Annual bonus
- Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
- Double matched pension contributions (up to 10%)
- 35 days holiday (with the opportunity to buy/sell)
- A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers
- Exciting opportunities to develop your career
You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
