On Trade Finance Controller (Technical Services)
Function: Finance
Location: Edinburgh City Centre or London (Oxford Circus) – a mix of office and home working
Salary: £65-£80k depending on experience, plus 15% benefits allowance (can be taken as cash), and further benefits listed below
Contract: 12 month secondment

About the role
Reporting into the On Trade Finance Manager your primary responsibilities will be to partner with the Head of Technical Services and their team to ensure they have robust commercial grip over the Technical Services P&L, encompassing a net £40m cost base.
You will lead the planning processes for Technical Services (and monitoring/reporting against the plan thereafter), working closely with both internal and third party stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasts are being reflected by all parties involved.
Part of your role will be to proactively work to identify, analyse and exploit tactical commercial business opportunities to drive cost savings whilst also maintaining a strong governance framework. You will also lead projects with a significant impact on the operational plan or act as a key resource/SME in larger strategic projects.
Who we’re looking for
A commercially aware Qualified Accountant with a track record of delivering a robust control environment within a fluid and fast moving commercial area. Your pro-active and positive attitude will allow you to intervene on fundamental issues and exploit business opportunities to drive profit growth.
Future opportunities: A successful candidate in the role could go on to a wide range of roles within commercial finance or the wider finance teams.
