We\’re looking for someone who’s ready to evolve with us, to help shift how we show up in the digital world. If you’re ready to brew a new career, apply for our External Communications Manager role today!

The Role

As External Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing HEINEKEN UK’s reputation through bold and engaging storytelling and smart use of digital channels.

This is a strategic, hands-on role where you’ll lead the development and delivery of content across our owned social channels (including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) as well as support reputation-building activity like advertorials, speaker opportunities, earned media opportunities (PR) and events.

You’ll report to the Head of External Communications and work closely with colleagues across the wider corporate affairs team, people function, our supply chain sites, brand teams and external partners. You’ll also help manage influencer relationships and identify opportunities to amplify our story through trade bodies and key industry voices.

You’ll need to stay ahead of trends, adapt our channel strategy using data and insights, and help evolve our communications ecosystem to be digital-first, connected and effective.

In a regulated environment like ours, it’s critical that we tell our story clearly and credibly; and that we do it in a way that cuts through. You’ll help us do just that.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating and managing content for our corporate social channels, aligned to reputation priorities
  • Identifying and telling compelling stories from across our sites and teams
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to build engaging campaigns
  • Managing influencer and trade body relationships to strengthen our voice externally
  • Supporting and delivering high-quality paid content, events and PR activity
  • Tracking performance and continually improve our digital presence using insights and best practice
  • Help to shape our use of new tools and technologies, including AI
  • Keeping our corporate website sharp, current and engaging
  • Supporting broader Corporate Affairs activity, including Brand PR where needed

Who we are looking for:

We’re after a digital self-starter who can juggle creative thinking with data-led decision making. You’ll need strong relationship-building skills and a clear understanding of how social and digital channels work, developing compelling stories and how to get results. A degree and relevant qualification in digital marketing, PR/journalism and experience ofdata analytics is preferred.

You’ll bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a digital or social media role
  • Strong knowledge of how different platforms work and how to use them effectively
  • Experience in social listening and data analytics
  • Skill in creating content — including graphics (e.g. Canva) and short-form video
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in working with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong planning and organisation skills, with good attention to detail
  • Experience managing digital assets and brand content

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a team that’s driving change — using digital storytelling to connect people with who we are, what we do and where we’re going. If you’re ready to shape the conversation and take the next step in your HEINEKEN UK story, apply today.

Our ways of working

Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.

Our Benefits

As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • An annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days’ holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example if you require information in different formats, or if you’ve any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes – please feel free to get in touch with us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.

You might feel that you don’t meet every single requirement for this role, and that’s okay – we all need the opportunity to develop and untap our full potential.
