Role Description
This is a flexible on-site Dispensing Audiologist role based in North Yorkshire.
We invite interest for any number of working hours/ and any type of arrangement (employed, self employed, partner).
The Dispensing Audiologist will conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, interpret test results, and provide clear explanations and recommendations to patients and their families.
Daily responsibilities include selecting, fitting, and programming hearing aids and related devices, performing real‑ear measurements and verification, and educating patients on device use, care, and maintenance.
The role also involves completing accurate clinical documentation, managing follow‑up appointments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
The Dispensing Audiologist will contribute to clinic operations by maintaining equipment, adhering to regulatory and professional standards, and supporting practice growth through excellent patient experience.
Qualifications
- HCPC registration as Hearing Aid Dispenser, with authority to practice and dispense hearing aids in the region.
- Strong clinical skills in audiological assessment, hearing aid fitting, verification, and ongoing patient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, empathetic, and patient‑centered manner.
- Proficiency in using audiology equipment, hearing aid programming software, and basic digital record‑keeping or practice management systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently in a busy clinic, manage time effectively, and prioritize patient needs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in private practice or community audiology settings is beneficial; prior work with adult hearing aid users is an advantage.
- Degree in Audiology, HCPC registration and ongoing continuing professional development.
