About the Role
We’re looking for a Governance & Compliance Lead to help shape and strengthen how we deliver safe, high‑quality care across the organisation. This role leads our IQIPS accreditation program, oversees policies and SOPs, and ensures we meet all relevant regulatory and professional standards. You’ll also guide incident management, complaints, patient safety and the implementation of PSIRF - supporting a culture where learning, openness and continuous improvement are part of everyday practice. You’ll work closely with clinical and operational teams, providing clear governance leadership and practical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for governance, quality and compliance
- Lead the organisation’s IQIPS accreditation program, including preparation for UKAS assessments
- Develop and maintain policies, SOPs and document‑control frameworks
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulation and professional standards
- Lead incident and complaints management, embedding PSIRF across the organisation
- Oversee investigations, Duty of Candour and learning‑focused responses
- Maintain risk registers and support clinical and corporate risk mitigation
- Lead audit programs and provide assurance to senior leadership
- Champion a culture of safety, openness and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in governance, quality or compliance leadership
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation frameworks (IQIPS experience ideal)
- Confident writer able to produce clear policies, reports and investigation documents
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and spot themes or risks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clinical and operational teams
- Experience in a healthcare or clinical services environment
- Full UK driving licence
Preferred Experience
- Training or experience in patient‑safety investigation (PSIRF, SEIPS, RCA)
- Experience with IQIPS assessments or UKAS processes
- Background in audiology or wider healthcare
- Professional registration (e.g., HCPC)
