About the Role

As a Hearing Care Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our practice, supporting private hearing services with a balance of clinical excellence and operational flair.

Clinical Duties

  • Carry out otoscopy and tympanometry assessments.
  • Deliver Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) screenings.
  • Conduct hearing aid reviews and routine maintenance.
  • Perform ear wax removal (micro suction, irrigation & manual).
  • Take aural impressions.
  • Support patients with empathy and clear communication.
  • Work under the guidance of an HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser.

Practice Engagement & Development

  • Assist with team training and cross-referrals.
  • Build partnerships with local GPs, pharmacies & communities.
  • Help manage appointment scheduling to maximise the HAD’s time.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards in line with healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
  • Represent THCP with professionalism in both appearance and conduct.

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified Hearing Care Assistant.
  • Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment and in a healthcare setting.
  • GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade C or higher).
  • A full UK driving license and the ability to travel between locations.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK, and availability for the specified days.
