About the Role
As a Hearing Care Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our practice, supporting private hearing services with a balance of clinical excellence and operational flair.
Clinical Duties
- Carry out otoscopy and tympanometry assessments.
- Deliver Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) screenings.
- Conduct hearing aid reviews and routine maintenance.
- Perform ear wax removal (micro suction, irrigation & manual).
- Take aural impressions.
- Support patients with empathy and clear communication.
- Work under the guidance of an HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser.
Practice Engagement & Development
- Assist with team training and cross-referrals.
- Build partnerships with local GPs, pharmacies & communities.
- Help manage appointment scheduling to maximise the HAD’s time.
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards in line with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance.
- Represent THCP with professionalism in both appearance and conduct.
What You’ll Need
- Qualified Hearing Care Assistant.
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment and in a healthcare setting.
- GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade C or higher).
- A full UK driving license and the ability to travel between locations.
- Eligibility to work in the UK, and availability for the specified days.
