About the Role
As a Hearing Care Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our practice, supporting private hearing services with a balance of clinical excellence and operational flair.
Clinical Duties
- Carry out otoscopy and Tympa-based assessments
- Deliver Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) screenings
- Conduct hearing aid reviews and routine maintenance
- Perform ear wax removal (microsuction, irrigation & manual)
- Take aural impressions
- Support patients with empathy and clear communication
- Work under the guidance of an HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser
Practice Engagement & Development
- Assist with team training and cross-referrals
- Build partnerships with local GPs, pharmacies & communities
- Help manage appointment scheduling to maximise the HAD’s time
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards in line with healthcare regulations
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance
- Represent THCP with professionalism in both appearance and conduct
What You’ll Need
- Qualified Hearing Care Assistant
- Previous experience working in a customer facing environment and in a healthcare setting
- GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade C or higher)
- A full UK driving license and the ability to travel between locations
- Eligibility to work in the UK, and availability for the specified days
