We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Home Manager to join a well-established nursing home in Southport. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate clinical leader looking to progress within a supportive and forward-thinking care environment.
The successful candidate will work a mixed role consisting of:
- 2 clinical nursing shifts per week
- 2 supernumerary management shifts per week
You will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service while ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, compliance, and resident wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager with the overall operation of the home
- Lead and motivate the clinical and care teams
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
- Conduct audits, care plan reviews, and medication checks
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and development
- Support occupancy, resident satisfaction, and quality improvement initiatives
- Act as a clinical role model within the service
- Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence
Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN preferred)
- Active NMC PIN
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse within a care home setting
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding elderly and nursing care
