Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Senior Care Assistant to join our clients care home team in Southport. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents while supporting and guiding care staff on shift. You will work both day and night shifts as part of a full-time 48-hour contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
  • Administer medication safely and in accordance with policies
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and hydration
  • Monitor and record residents’ clinical needs, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Lead, supervise, and support care assistants during shifts
  • Liaise with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families as required
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in residents’ conditions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior care or clinical care assistant role
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred
  • Medication administration training (essential)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts, including weekends
  • A compassionate and professional approach to care
