Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Senior Care Assistant to join our clients care home team in Southport. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents while supporting and guiding care staff on shift. You will work both day and night shifts as part of a full-time 48-hour contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
- Administer medication safely and in accordance with policies
- Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and hydration
- Monitor and record residents’ clinical needs, reporting any concerns promptly
- Lead, supervise, and support care assistants during shifts
- Liaise with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families as required
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in residents’ conditions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior care or clinical care assistant role
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred
- Medication administration training (essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work both day and night shifts, including weekends
- A compassionate and professional approach to care
