The predicted salary is between 27764 - 34497 ÂŁ per year.

Hours: Part-time 25 hours per week

Salary: £27,764 - £34,497 FTE per annum– dependent on experience. Paid on 28th of each month.

Term: Fixed term for 9 months from start date. Possibility of extension to 12 months.

Based in: Glasgow

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting a new member to join our team in Glasgow within the Stronger Schools, Stronger Communities pilot project. Based in a school in Northeast area of Glasgow, with some meetings/events carried out in the local community/across Glasgow, the Schools Community Links Practitioner will provide tailored, non‑stigmatising support and improve access to energy advice and services, including carbon monoxide (CO) awareness, priority services registration, CO alarms, advocacy, and safeguarding. By offering a safe and trusted space within the school, the project aims to reduce fuel poverty and strengthen connections to essential energy and wider support services for families.

Responsibilities

  • Experience delivering advice to a wide range of people and families, familiar with benefit entitlements/income maximisation, and showing empathy and understanding of the issues faced by our customers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the provision of advice to low‑income households in energy efficiency or related fields.
  • Self‑motivation and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people and proven experience of working with vulnerable householders, low income and/or other disadvantaged groups, including a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people living in areas of deprivation in relation to living well.
  • Tact and diplomacy when liaising with a wide range of organisations.
  • A solution‑focused approach.

  • PVG Scheme membership is required for this post.
