Principal Designer and Construction Health and Safety Consultant

Principal Designer and Construction Health and Safety Consultant required to join a well-established, national dedicated Construction Health, Safety and CDM Consultancy.\\n\\nYou will join an established, growing team, delivering the Principal Designer role, providing CDM advice for clients and providing construction safety advice for contractors on a variety of challenging and interesting construction projects.\\n\\nDuties include health and safety assurance services to clients and projects;\\n\\n * Early Engagement with Stakeholders.\\n\\n * Briefings in Best Practice.\\n\\n * Safety Management Procedures – ensure works adhere to Client health and safety management procedures (asbestos etc), best practice and safety regulations.\\n\\n * RAMS review and approval.\\n\\n * Advise on health and safety competence of supply chain,\\n\\n * Site walk around/inspections/audits – to monitor various construction work projects.\\n\\n * Review and providing inductions.\\n\\n * Dealing with day-to-day contractor health and safety matters, interfaces, permit issues, etc.\\n\\n * Representing clients on health and safety matters at meetings.\\n\\n * Providing ongoing health and safety advice support guidance mentoring to clients\\n\\n * Provide where required CDM/health and safety briefings, training to clients, and key members of the projects chain.\\n\\n * Report on CDM/health and safety performance monitoring and reports.\\n\\nExperience: The position is open at Consultant or Senior Consultant grade; subject to experience. Each grade comes with a progression plan in place to achieve promotion, pay rises and levels of responsibilities and duties within the business. Previous construction related experience and qualifications is always beneficial.\\n\\nQualifications: You will hold or be working towards CMaPS and or CMIOSH.
