These are remote/home-based positions, available to candidates anywhere in the UK. Plan Checker (Building Control)
Ideal for senior RBIs who enjoy the technical, regulatory and analytical aspects of Building Control at a high level. Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing complex plans, specifications and supporting documentation for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Providing expert technical guidance to clients, architects and developers.
- Assessing complex and higher-risk projects across a varied portfolio.
- Supporting clients and project teams throughout the regulatory approval process.
- Maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer service.
Building Inspector (Site Inspection)
Ideal for experienced professionals who prefer a strong site-based focus and direct client engagement on complex developments. Responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking site inspections across a diverse range of complex construction projects.
- Assessing compliance with Building Regulations throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Providing technical advice to contractors, developers and design teams on compliance matters.
- Producing clear, concise and accurate inspection reports.
- Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
- Registered Building Inspector (RBI) with Class 3G and/or Class 3H registration.
- Strong additional specialist competencies are highly desirable.
Experience
- Advanced technical knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Proven experience within Building Control, Registered Building Control Approvers, Local Authority Building Control or similar high-level compliance environment.

Salary
- Plan Checker: £90,000–£110,000 plus car allowance and benefits
- Building Inspector: £85,000–£105,000 plus car allowance and benefits
