Contract Principal Designer and CDM Consultant required to join a property and construction consultancy to deliver multiple client projects to both public and private sector clients. Sectors include commercial, education, industrial, sports and leisure, regeneration and residential.
It is a hybrid role with a connection to either a Hertfordshire or Kent office.
The company is offering a day rate of £350-£375 per day, outside IR35.
It is a full-time contract role, for 3-6 months, requiring at least 3 days per week availability. Quick start required.
Duties include:
- Providing CDM advice and support to Clients.
- Visiting project sites to assess potential health and safety risks, buildability constraints, access restrictions and on-site hazards.
- Preparing Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans and Health and Safety Files.
- Co-ordinating and attending design meetings and project meetings.
- Reviewing surveys, records and assessing any potential risks to health and safety during both construction and post completion.
- Working with the design team in preparing and updating CDM Risk Registers.
- Conducting near miss and accident investigations where required.
- Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect the company.
Qualifications
Suitable qualifications and memberships would include CMaPS, CertIOSH or Grad IOSH or CMIOSH. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Proven track record of delivering projects as a Principal Designer and CDM Consultant.
