Regional Construction Health and Safety Advisor required to join a Principal Construction Contractor, delivering specialist Health and Safety advice across a range of construction projects. You will be working on public realm projects across the Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire region, including education, healthcare, leisure, prisons, RAF sites, and more.
Duties will include:
- Conducting regular audits, inspections and site visits to assess safe and unsafe working conditions and practices, reporting findings and making improvement recommendations.
- Maintaining Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Promoting and delivering the company’s Behavioural Safety Programme.
- Supporting the effective implementation of CDM, Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management and Safe Systems of Work.
- Preparing accident reports and making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- 2–3 years experience within the construction industry, ideally with a large or Principal Contractor.
- Experience across the relevant sectors would be desirable.
- A good practical understanding of the principles of Health and Safety legislation.
