Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) required to join a national construction company to deliver high-quality Building Regulations compliance and design risk management services in line with the Building Safety Act 2022 and applicable regulations.
BRPD responsibilities include:
- Leading Building Regulations compliance across design stages, ensuring statutory duties are met and risks are managed.
- Coordinating compliance strategy, design reviews and Building Control submissions.
- Liaising with Building Control and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Leading meetings and ensuring project delivery aligns with scope, programme and expectations.
- Supporting business development through bids, proposals, service growth and external representation.
- Mentoring and supporting team members, overseeing technical quality and outputs.
- Assisting with resource planning and contributing to team development.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, QA processes and professional standards.
- Maintaining accurate compliance records and implementing regulatory updates.
Qualifications: Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Engineering, or related discipline, preferred. Membership of a relevant professional body (RIBA, CIAT, CIOB, CABE or equivalent) preferred.
Experience: Experience in design, technical compliance and project management is essential.
