Trainee Health & Safety Consultant required to join a well-established architectural practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a supportive and experienced team.

You'll work on a diverse range of construction projects, developing your knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and best practice while receiving structured training and ongoing professional development.

The Role

As a Trainee Health & Safety Consultant, you will support the delivery of health and safety consultancy services across a variety of construction projects.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will build your technical knowledge and develop the skills needed to become a confident health and safety professional.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting with site inspections and health and safety audits.
  • Preparing reports following site visits, identifying observations and making practical recommendations.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Supporting clients in maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance.
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of health and safety documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and records.
  • Developing your understanding of construction health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Supporting senior consultants with a range of health and safety consultancy activities as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to develop a long-term career in health and safety.

Ideally, you will have

Qualifications

  • A qualification in Health & Safety, Construction or a related discipline (such as NEBOSH, NVQ, BTEC, HNC/HND in Construction, Building Studies or a similar subject).

Experience

  • A genuine interest in construction health and safety.
  • Previous experience within a construction, property or professional practice environment would be beneficial.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • A full UK driving licence.
