At the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), we are committed to protecting the public and upholding high professional standards. We are currently seeking a Triage Officer to join our dynamic team, responsible for receiving, accurately assessing and progressing concerns regarding our registrants' fitness to practise.

Your Role As a Triage Officer, you will:

  • Receive, manage and respond effectively to a range of enquiries from applicants, registrants and members of the public, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Maintain and apply up to date knowledge of the HCPC's policies and standards to ensure accurate and high quality advice is provided to callers.
  • Accurately review new fitness to practise concerns and conduct proportionate and timely initial enquiries to inform a triage decision.
  • Manage a complex caseload whilst ensuring timely triage decisions on your cases.
  • Identify high risk concerns and ensure that these are prioritised and progressed for action.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records, case files, systems and databases to ensure the effective management of your work.

What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who has:

  • Experience managing a high volume, varied caseload.
  • Experience working within, and applying a framework of legislation and defined policies and guidance, including making sound evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience supporting and managing challenging or vulnerable customers.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while meeting service standards and performance indicators.

Location: Hybrid working with a mandatory attendance of 1-2 days a week at our office in London
