Your Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head of Policy & Standards in overseeing the work of the department
- Leading the development and implementation of a range of strategic policy and standards projects
- Supervising and coaching direct reports and team members
- Effectively engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Undertaking research to support members of Council and the senior leadership team when needed
- Continuously monitoring risks within the policy department and wider organisation, escalating if necessary
- Representing the HCPC at external events and collaborating with the Communications Department to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- Good knowledge of policy and public affairs with the ability to develop clear reports and strategic policy positions
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at various levels of seniority
- Experience in leadership and coaching direct reports
