Why Join Us?

The HCPC protects the public through the regulation of 15 health and care professions. We set standards for professionals' conduct, education and training, and proficiency; keep a register of professionals, known as 'Registrants', who meet the standards; and take action when there are concerns about a Registrant's current fitness to practise. Our aim is to be a high performing regulator which delivers forward-looking regulation underpinned by strong data and collaboration.

About the Role and Scope of Job

Purpose and Main Duties

  • Support the small team of paralegals to assist them with the effective and timely investigations into allegations of fraudulent entry onto the HCPC register.
  • Case work and document management on the case management system, ensuring case information is up to date, accurate and accessible in line with Data Protection Policy.
  • Dealing with and responding to casework correspondence.
  • Preparing bundles for interim order applications, interim order reviews, instructions to counsel and final hearings documentation before the Investigating Committee.
  • Reviewing, redacting and assisting in the preparation of the service of bundles for all parties in regulatory hearings.
  • Liaising with the Health & Care Professions Tribunal Service to follow up on matters relating to hearing schedules.
