Business Analyst

We're hiring a Business Analyst. You will work across the organisation to understand business needs, define requirements and support the design of effective, practical solutions. This includes gathering and analysing data, mapping processes and identifying opportunities to improve services, systems and ways of working. This role will require application of industry standard business analysis best practices not only to technology change initiatives but also to support transformational change across business processes which are not specifically linked to technology changes.

As part of a collaborative change function, you'll contribute to programmes and projects that have a direct impact on our ability to protect the public, whether through improvements to registration, education or fitness to practise regulatory processes or the broader back office and support functions.

Your Responsibilities

• Working with stakeholders to understand business needs, defining clear requirements and acceptance criteria and supporting testing to ensure solutions deliver the intended outcomes.
• Mapping current processes, identifying improvement opportunities and helping design future ways of working that support transformation goals and improve user experience.
• Working with business, technology and third-party teams to shape solutions, support delivery and help ensure changes are adopted successfully and deliver lasting value.
• Building strong relationships across the organisation, communicating clearly and helping teams prioritise business needs, scope change and make informed decisions.
• Promoting consistent business analysis practice, improve tools and standards, and use insight and data to support ongoing service and operational improvement.

Person Specification

• We are looking for candidates who:
• Hold a BCS Business Analysis certification or equivalent experience.
• Can facilitate workshops, interviews and group sessions to gather requirements and insights.
• Have experience analysing and documenting processes, user journeys and service improvements.
• Are comfortable working in structured Agile, hybrid or programme delivery environments.
• Have supported change initiatives, including new systems, processes or ways of working.
• Can build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Work with subject matter experts and users to define needs and identify value.
• Use strong analytical skills to identify root causes and propose evidence-based solutions.
• Can assess existing processes and recommend practical improvements.

Location

Hybrid working with a minimum attendance of 1-2 days a week at our office in London.
