The
Headland isn’t just an iconic Cornish hotel, it’s a living, breathing piece of
five-star history, much loved by our team, our guests and our owners. Perched
above the wild Atlantic and famous for our award-winning hospitality, we’re now
looking for an exceptional and dynamic Personal Assistant to work side-by-side
with our Family Directors and Managing Director.
This
is not your average PA job. This is your chance to be at the beating heart of
our hotel, where every day brings something new. Our ideal candidate will be
supporting with everything from taking meeting notes, booking travel to
organising team events and stepping in wherever you are needed. It’s fast-paced, varied and no two days are
the same. This position is offered on a permanent contract, working 40 hours over 5 days.
What
you’ll be doing:
- Making our communications
stand out
– creating reports, presentations, and documents that shine (and catching
typos before anyone else can). - Being our voice – handling calls,
emails, and messages with warmth, tact, and professionalism. - Mastering the diaries – juggling calendars, meetings, and appointments with precision and flair.
- Keeping projects moving – lending your skills to
events, initiatives, and one-off surprises that make The Headland special. - Planning our travel – arranging logistics
and travel plans from conference trips to annual hot air balloon
festivals.

- You are an experienced Personal
Assistant who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment (bonus points
for hospitality know-how). - You are extremely
organised, with a sharp eye for detail. - You communicate clearly,
confidently, and with genuine warmth. - You are tech-savvy with
Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new tools. - You are a proactive
problem-solver the sort who spots what needs doing before anyone else
realises. - You understand the
delicate mix of professionalism, discretion, and approachability that
makes a great Personal Assistant.
