We are delighted to announce that 2026 will see the relaunch of our young persons’ Summer placement scheme, for the fifth cohort. We are looking to recruit 14 – 16 year olds to join our team and work at The Headland Hotel over the Summer period to gain valuable work experience, enhance your natural skills, confidence and ability to help prepare you for your future careers and hopefully to continue working with us.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
We offer a pay rate at £8 per hour + service charge, paid on a monthly basis directly into the young person’s bank account. Holiday will be accrued as you work and can be taken once accrued. The work placements will vary across the business within the following departments, and many young people will be able to experience more than one department:
- RenMor/Deck Restaurants
- Housekeeping
- Aqua Club/Spa
All successful candidates will have followed the recruitment and training process. Please be sure to make a note of these dates in terms of availability as the process will only be available on this basis. We would ideally like the students to be able to work through the whole duration of the placement so please do let us know if you have any prior commitments during the Summer as part of your application.
