An exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen at The Headland Hotel & Spa for a passionate HR & Recruitment Advisor. Joining our HR team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our workforce so they can deliver an unforgettable 5-star experience to our guests. This is a vibrant, hands-on generalist role where no two days are the same!
What You’ll Be Doing… You’ll be at the very heart of our day-to-day operations, keeping HR running smoothly and acting as a champion for our team. Your day-to-day will include:
- HR Hub Leadership: Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the HR office, including ordering and issuing our hotel uniforms with pride.
- Absence & Employee Relations: Overseeing hotel-wide absence management and offering sound, empathetic guidance on Employee Relations matters to support our managers.
- Welcoming & Onboarding: Supporting engaging staff inductions to ensure every new starter gets the warmest 5-star welcome.
- Nurturing Next-Gen Talent: Leading and mentoring our vibrant Summer Placement and Student Placement cohorts throughout their journeys with us.
- Brand Ambassador: Getting out and about! Representing The Headland at external events, recruitment days, and careers fairs to showcase why we are the employer of choice.
Our Ideal Candidate… We’re looking for a people-person through and through—someone who pairs HR know-how with a genuine passion for hospitality!
- Experience: You have around 1–2 years of HR-focused experience and are ready to take that exciting next step in your career.
- Qualifications: CIPD qualified (or working towards it) is a great advantage, but your hands-on drive and attitude are what count most!
- Skills: Excellent communication, a flair for organisation, and an approachable, proactive mindset.
