The Role
We are looking for a passionate, vibrant, and organized Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our leadership team in The Deck—a relaxed sanctuary serving everything from poolside brunches to candlelit dinners. We showcase the very best of Cornwall—from Newquay Harbour crab to locally brewed beers and premium handcrafted cocktails—creating a space where guests can unwind and refuel after a day on the coast.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the Floor: Overseeing daily shifts, coordinating the team, and ensuring the smooth, seamless delivery of food and drinks with professional flair.
- Elevating the Experience: Acting as a role‑model for the team, balancing character with professionalism, and maintaining our high service standards.
- Guest Connection: Engaging with guests, handling advanced enquiries, and resolving any feedback or complaints with a warm, solution‑focused, authoritative attitude.
- Team Development: Training, mentoring, and motivating F&B Attendants, helping them grow their skills (including supporting their Barista and service training).
- Operational Excellence: Managing opening and closing procedures, ensuring pristine standards of cleanliness, and maintaining accurate cash handling and stock control.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous supervisory or strong senior leadership experience within a high‑quality restaurant or hotel environment.
- A genuine passion for high‑quality food, drink, and luxury hospitality.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and delegation skills with a team‑first mindset.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a calm under‑pressure demeanour.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
