The Opportunity: We are looking for a hands-on Senior NOC Engineer to play a key role in our monitoring and automation capability across multi-client environments. This isn't just about responding to alerts. It's about improving how we operate. You'll support the shift from reactive support to more proactive, automation-driven operations, helping us build a modern NOC function that delivers real customer and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own & Drive Automation & Efficiency: help improve automation across the NOC, work with existing tooling to reduce manual effort and eliminate repeatable tasks; focus on making systems smarter and reducing tickets at source.
  • Scripting & Tooling Improvements: use PowerShell and existing platform capabilities to build and enhance automation that improves consistency and efficiency across customer environments.
  • Monitoring & Alert Quality: help improve how we monitor environments, reduce noise, and ensure alerts are meaningful, actionable, and drive the right outcomes.
  • Platform Performance & Reliability: support high levels of patch compliance, system health, and platform performance across endpoints, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term fixes, using trend analysis, automation, and operational improvements to reduce repeat incidents.
  • Technical Support & Escalations: act as a senior technical point within the NOC, supporting complex issues and helping raise the overall technical capability of the team.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Operational Excellence (Run): Supporting uptime, stability, and service quality across environments.
  • Automation & Improvement (Improve): Enhancing tooling, reducing manual work, and driving efficiency.

You won't just work tickets… you'll improve how the NOC operates.

Technical Background

We don't require you to tick every box, but you should be comfortable operating at this level:

  • Experience in MSP or multi-client environments.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
  • Experience with RMM platforms and automation tooling.
  • Good scripting capability (PowerShell preferred).
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and endpoint management.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, and system performance.

Certifications (or Equivalent Experience)

We value capability over certificates, but the following are advantageous:

  • MD 102 (Endpoint Management).
  • SC 900 (Fundamentals).
  • ITIL 4 Foundation.
  • CCNA or Network+.
  • Vendor certifications across RMM platforms.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to shape and improve how our NOC operates.
  • Exposure to automation and modern tooling at scale.
  • A clear pathway to grow into leadership or specialist roles.
  • The chance to work in a business that values improvement, not just output.

If you want a role where you can develop your technical capability, drive real improvements, and be part of building a more proactive NOC, this is the role for you.
