Take Your Sage Project Career to the Next Level

Are you an experienced Sage 200 implementation consultant who is ready to broaden your expertise and develop your career with Sage Intacct?

The HBP Group is looking for a Sage 200 implementation consultant to join our Professional Services team.

You’ll use your existing Sage 200 project experience to deliver successful customer implementations while receiving structured training, mentoring and hands‑on project exposure to develop your Sage Intacct knowledge.

You don’t need to be an experienced Sage Intacct consultant already.

We’re looking for someone with strong Sage 200 implementation skills, an understanding of finance and business processes, and the ambition to develop into a multi-product Sage consultant.

This is an opportunity to build on the expertise you already have—not leave it behind—while expanding your experience across cloud financial management, solution design, pre‑sales and increasingly complex ERP projects.

Why Progress into Sage Intacct?

Sage Intacct offers experienced Sage 200 consultants the opportunity to expand into cloud financial management and work with organisations that have more complex reporting, consolidation, automation and multi‑entity requirements.

At The HBP Group, you’ll have the opportunity to

  • Retain and build on your Sage 200 expertise.
  • Receive structured Sage Intacct training and mentoring.
  • Shadow experienced colleagues on live Intacct projects.
  • Gain practical experience alongside formal product learning.
  • Expand your knowledge of cloud‑based financial management.
  • Develop your pre‑sales, discovery and solution‑design capabilities.
  • Progress towards independently leading Sage Intacct implementations.
  • Build a broader and more future‑focused Sage consultancy career.

About the Role

As a Sage Implementation Consultant, you'll play a key role in both winning and delivering customer projects.

You'll work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand their business requirements, design tailored Sage solutions, deliver engaging demonstrations, and lead successful implementations from initial scoping through to go‑live and ongoing customer success.

Working collaboratively with Business Development, Professional Services, Support and Development teams, you'll ensure customers receive a seamless experience throughout their ERP journey.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead customer discovery workshops.
  • Deliver engaging Sage 200 and Sage Intacct demonstrations.
  • Analyse business requirements and recommend the most appropriate solutions.
  • Support proposals, estimates and technical responses during the sales process.
  • Ensure smooth handovers from Sales to Professional Services.
  • Implementation Delivery
  • Manage software implementation projects from discovery through to go‑live.
  • Configure Sage 200 and Sage Intacct solutions.
  • Support data migration and third‑party integrations.
  • Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer.
  • Guide customers through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provide go‑live support and post‑implementation hypercare.
  • Customer Success
  • Build long‑term relationships with customers.
  • Manage project scope, risks and expectations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and recommend additional solutions where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with Sage product developments and industry trends.
  • Share knowledge across the Professional Services team.
  • Contribute to improvements in delivery methodologies and implementation standards.
  • Support ongoing innovation across our ERP consultancy practice.

What We're Looking For

You'll be an experienced ERP Consultant who combines technical expertise with excellent customer engagement skills.

You'll enjoy understanding business processes, solving complex problems and helping customers achieve measurable business improvements through technology.

You'll be confident presenting to senior stakeholders, delivering workshops and leading projects while maintaining a strong customer focus.

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Sage 200 and/or Sage Intacct implementation experience.
  • Minimum three years’ experience implementing Sage or comparable ERP solutions.
  • Experience delivering customer demonstrations and discovery workshops.
  • Strong understanding of finance and operational business processes.
  • Sage 200 and/or Sage Intacct certifications.
  • Experience with Sicon or Draycir products.
  • Experience with data migration and integrations.
  • Experience with Power Platform.
