Learning Support Assistant in Auckley

We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant) to join our school community. Core Purpose To support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum by providing targeted academic, social, emotional, and practical support. Working under the direction of the SENDCO, the Learning Support Assistant will help create an inclusive learning environment that promotes independence, wellbeing, confidence, and positive outcomes for every student. This includes direct support, collaboration with staff and families and assisting with transition where needed.,

• Encourage independence, resilience, and positive engagement in learning.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to reviews and support plans.
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate.
• Maintain high expectations for student outcomes. Has a genuine commitment to supporting young people With Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
