Part Time Care Assistants in Pudsey

We are looking for full & part time carers to work in the LS28 area, Pudsey:

You will be responsible for providing high-quality support in the community to our service users in their own homes ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Working closely with service users & families, including healthcare professionals to deliver tailored care plans in a respectful and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

• Assist our service users with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Support to maintain their independence and dignity
• Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Administer medication as instructed and keep accurate records of care provided
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for our service users at all times
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare teams regarding care needs and updates.
• Drive or accompany service users to appointments or outings as required (Driving experience is advantageous).

Shift patterns:

• 7am – 2pm shift (Breakfast & Lunch Calls).
• &/or
• 4pm – 10pm shift (Tea & Bed Calls).
• We ask carers to be flexible and able to work alternate weekend, with a day off during the week to ensure good continuity of care to our service users.
• Car Drivers preferred – However, if you do not have your own car, we will endeavour to find local work for you, but you must be prepared to travel on public transport to your care calls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is required.
• Full 3-day induction training provided for the right candidate
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with service users and their families.
• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel or service user transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
