Our team’s mission is to deliver objective, risk-based solutions with clear recommendations, embracing change to steer the organization in achieving its goals. This position reports to the Senior Risk Manager and operates within a “Dual Mandate” structure to support effective risk management across the business: both as a second line of defence, and a business partner to proactively mitigate risk as we grow.

The position blends enterprise risk management with strong analytical skills. The individual should be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and be able to effectively influence business partners. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide independent, forward-looking risk analysis including emerging risks.
  • Support delivery stress testing, scenario analysis to inform risk framework and strategy.
  • Support development and maintenance of the ORSA.
  • Interpret and challenge business outputs from a second-line perspective.
  • Maintain an aggregated enterprise-wide view of the firm’s risk profile.
  • Contribute to Executive and Board Risk Committee reporting, translating complex analysis into clear insight.
  • Lead and support risk deep dives, thematic reviews and assessments of control effectiveness.
  • Provide risk oversight input into internal model governance and validation activities (non-technical validation).
  • Support Lloyd’s and PRA regulatory interactions and submissions.
  • Enhance risk MI, dashboards and forward-looking indicators, including automation where appropriate.
General

Collaborate across functions - including Finance, Underwriting, Operations, Claims, Actuarial, and wider Risk team - to support business deliverables. Monitor and improve data quality, contributing to the development of procedures and tools that enhance accuracy and insight. Deliver continuous process improvements while ensuring all work complies with governance and regulatory standards. Demonstrate flexibility in responding to evolving business needs and ad hoc requests from stakeholders. While the primary focus is on core responsibilities, the role may also involve contributing to a range of other Risk activities as needed. Collaborative, collegiate working style. Strong completer–finisher mindset.

Experience & Skills

Experience in Risk or similar roles within insurance or financial services. Lloyd’s or London Market experience preferred.
