We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Economics to join our high-achieving and dynamic Economics department on a full-time basis from September 2026. The successful candidate will, in particular, have solid experience of and demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching the full Economics syllabus to both Lower and Upper Sixth (AQA specification). Experience gained in a previous career outside teaching would be of significant advantage.
The successful candidate will be engaging and will bring energy to the classroom. They must be a team-player and demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to assist in study-related trips and events.
The department offers a wide range of opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom, including school trips to Canary Wharf, student-led Economics talks run by the Student Society, participation in competitions such as the Economics Olympiad and the RES Young Economist of the Year Competition, and participation in conferences held by the BOE and OBR. Our students are ambitious and they truly value the additional support the school offers for these prestigious opportunities.
