Purpose of the role
The Product Owner is responsible for maximising the value delivered through the production workflow systems by acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams. In addition, the role will support agile delivery effectiveness by facilitating key agile ceremonies, promoting collaborative ways of working and helping teams continuously improve delivery flow, predictability and stakeholder outcomes.
The Product Owner aligns stakeholders on priorities, delivery sequencing and expectations, clearly communicating likely delivery timelines and trade‑offs. They apply a strong value mindset, challenging requests where appropriate to ensure value versus effort is understood and supports informed decision‑making. The ideal candidate will bring experience of agile methodologies and a strong understanding of production workflows, ideally within the print or manufacturing industry.
While Product Ownership remains the primary accountability of the role, the position also provides agile facilitation and delivery support responsibilities to help ensure effective and predictable delivery outcomes.
