A must‑hire Higher Level Teaching Assistant for our trust, joining in September 2026 as a permanent position. Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Grade 6 (SCP 19 24) – salary £32,061‑£35,412, paid pro‑rata to hours worked.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Awarded Higher Level Teaching Assistant status or willing to work toward it
  • Training in relevant learning strategies e.g. literacy, Key Stage 1 or 2
  • Specialist training or experience in a curriculum area (bi‑lingual, sign language, ICT, special needs, foreign language, art, music, behaviour management, etc.)
  • Experience preparing and delivering age and ability‑appropriate resources to engage pupils and support learning objectives
  • Experience developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans
  • Experience working with pupils of varying abilities, adapting own approach and learning
