The Harlequins Foundation wish to appoint a Sports Coach to work within the Programmes team, delivering sessions in primary & secondary schools within some of our focus boroughs in London (Richmond, Kingston Hounslow, Merton, Croydon and Wandsworth).
Candidates must hold an NGB Level 2 coaching qualification in ANY sport, but a rugby qualification would be preferred.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of our primary school sports partnership offer Move. Learn. Grow., as well as contributing towards the delivery of both our own and nationally funded programmes such as Project Rugby, METTLE, and SWITCH.
About the role
- Support the Foundation Development Manager with the coordination and delivery of the Harlequins Foundation’s primary school sports coaching offer, Move. Learn. Grow.
- Lead on the delivery of the Foundation’s centrally funded schools programmes such as Premiership Rugby Champions, as well as supporting the delivery of Project Rugby, METTLE, and SWITCH
- Play an integral role in the ongoing development and modelling of the Sports Coaching Toolkit for developing essential skills, through adopting an innovative approach to sports-based skills interventions
- Be responsible for establishing, developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with local schools in our focus boroughs
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality sports coaching is delivered to a range of different audiences in Key Stages 1-5
- To develop close relationships with local grassroots sports clubs in order to support the transition between school & grassroots sports participation
- Ensure the delivery of high quality extra-curricular sports coaching is offered to schools where we can most sustainably meet the needs of the school community
- Be responsible for the accurate and timely updating of the relevant Foundation monitoring & evaluation systems for all schools-based coaching to ensure the impact of our work is captured
- To support the Programme delivery team with the provision of high quality, impactful and meaningful out-of-school sessions are delivered during the school holidays (our Healthy Holidays Scheme)

Experience:
Sports coaching 1 year (preferred)
Driving Licence (preferred)
NGB Level 2 Coaching Qualification (required)
Work Location: In person, on-site, various throughout South London
This is a part-time, flexitime role with regular sessions that can be flexible around your schedule. Work is delivered predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional shifts on weekends.

Salary: £15-18 per hour, depending on experience.
