About the Role
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Support teachers by creating an engaging learning environment and preparing resources.
- Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, providing detailed feedback and evidence.
- Lead small‑group interventions and support delivery of literacy, numeracy and other curriculum strategies.
- Contribute to out‑of‑school learning activities as required.
- Support pupils’ welfare and personal care, including those with SEND.
- Implement literacy and numeracy interventions.
- Assist with planning cycles and preparing learning resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence.
- Assist with supervision during break/lunchtimes and accompany pupils on trips when required.
- Salary & Working Pattern
Salary: HLTA: NJC Grade E: £30,518 – £33,699 (FTE). TA: NJC Grade C: £25,989 – £26,403 (FTE). Pro‑rated by hours and weeks worked.
Working pattern: 34.75 hours per week total; 19.125 hours per week for grade C TA (3.5 hours in the After School Club); 15.625 hours for HLTA; 39 weeks per year.
