The predicted salary is between 30518 - 33699 £ per year.
Salary: NJC Grade E: £30,518 - £33,699 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked). Please note that the pro-rata salary for this role is between £8,829 (E16) and £9,749 (E22) gross per annum (subject to change depending on agreed working pattern on appointment).
Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 12.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Working pattern to be discussed at interview.
St. David's C of E Primary School are seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting teaching, learning and pupil development across the school.
About the Role
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Support teachers by helping create an engaging learning environment and preparing resources.
- Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, providing detailed feedback and evidence.
- Lead small-group interventions and support delivery of literacy, numeracy and other curriculum strategies.
- Contribute to out-of-school learning activities as required.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who can bring compassion and commitment to the role. Essential qualities include:
- Experience working with children across key stages.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor delivering whole-class activities.
- English and Maths qualifications at minimum GCSE level.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous HLTA experience.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training.
- First Aid qualification.
- Awareness of health and safety practices.
