Who We Are

For over a decade, The Happiness Index has been helping organisations worldwide understand how their employees think, feel, and behave. We are on a mission to uncover the secrets of workplace happiness and enable data‑driven actions that fuel thriving, high‑performance cultures.

What We Do

We pinpoint where your organisation stands, and what you need to do to create lasting cultural, performance and financial impact. Our platform does the measuring and our professional services provide insights into your employee experience, your culture, and the outcomes that matter most to your organisation.

Our Culture

Practising what we preach – we empower everyone to have a voice and use our own employee insights to shape our culture. We’re driven by one core value: giving people the freedom to be human. Our data tells us people are happiest when they are free to be their authentic selves. Flexibility, empathy and inclusion are part of our organisational DNA. Neuroscience guides our approach; this helps us foster self‑awareness and deepens our understanding of diverse thinking styles. We focus on eight themes – four linked to the head and four linked to the heart – giving us a holistic view of what drives engagement and happiness at work.

The Role

The Lead Culture Consultant is a high‑impact, commercially‑driven role perfect for someone with a proven track record of selling and delivering 6 to 7‑figure consultancy services and products. This role will build the consultancy team and continue our work to turn our data, methodology and IP into a new culture and performance consultancy framework. The Lead Culture Consultant will turn client relationships (new and existing) into transformative culture partnerships, acting as a strategic architect to identify, sell and deliver bespoke culture consultancy projects. You will bridge high‑level project management and strategic revenue growth, taking our existing customer portfolio and doubling its worth by nurturing relationships and winning new business.

Responsibilities

  • Design, project manage and lead the delivery of bespoke consultancy projects, ensuring they result in measurable cultural shifts for the customer.
  • Develop a proprietary consultancy toolkit, delivery frameworks and a menu of high‑value services (e.g. Cultural Audit, Leadership Alignment Workshops, ROI Impact Studies).
  • Deliver high‑level executive presentations that connect cultural insights to the customer’s overarching business KPIs.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on organisational culture, advising C‑Suite stakeholders on industry trends and best practices.

Commercial Leadership

  • Identify and close opportunities for culture consultancy projects within your portfolio and/or with new customers, including leadership workshops, discovery sessions and change management programmes.
  • Own a specific consulting revenue target, keep the team updated and mitigate red‑flag risks.
  • Maximise revenue from existing customers by proactively identifying growth triggers and pitching additional products and services ahead of the financial year.
  • Navigate complex client hierarchies to reach budget holders, positioning THI as a strategic partner rather than a vendor.

Team Development

  • Have overall responsibility for the success of culture consultancy initiatives, projects and campaigns, including overseeing the quality of output from others.
  • Guide senior CSMs/consultants on how to identify commercial triggers and elevate their conversations from operational to strategic.

Advocacy

  • Act as a thought leader for THI, representing the company at industry events, webinars and in white papers to build the authority of our cultural consultancy arm.
  • Be an advocate of THI, its platform, products and services, ensuring clarity on strengths and how they support customer needs.
  • Seek to understand specific business challenges a customer faces and clearly explain how our platform and consultancy services help overcome them.
  • Develop THI’s consultancy proposition, methodology and toolkit.

We'd Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • A proven track record of selling and delivering high‑value consultancy projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Confident, concise leadership that brings gravitas to C‑Suite interactions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong people skills to build relationships at all levels with ease.

Equal Opportunities

We believe everyone has the right to be happy at work, regardless of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, race, ethnicity, neurological makeup or otherwise. We love to hear from a diverse audience and are committed to creating a fair and equitable recruitment experience. If you require any specific accommodations for the recruitment process, please let us know during the screening process or by reaching out to people@thehappinessindex.com.
