Join our award-winning community charity as a Community Projects Worker – West Area, joining our dedicated Community Development Team. This position is for 21 hours per week, over 4 days, with occasional evening and weekend work. We are flexible within the 21 hours worked, to be discussed as part of the recruitment process.

Salary: £31,537 FTE, fixed for the length of contract. This is a one-year fixed term position with the possibility of extension. We offer a 6% employer pension and generous holiday provision. This post will be based at St Richard’s Community Centre in Hove.

The Hangleton and Knoll Project is a nationally recognised and award-winning Community Development and Youthwork charity, based in the West of Brighton and Hove in South East England. Since 1983, we have been working for the community with the community and managed by the community. Local residents have shaped and developed the project to become a model of good practice for how a community can develop and manage its own resources.

You will be working to develop warm, friendly relationships with residents, organise community learning opportunities and activities focused on health and wellbeing, in addition to supporting a wide range of activities and events across all sections of the community. This post is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an interest in community health, wellbeing, and learning.

We offer developmental training opportunities and reflective practice, and you’ll work as part of a team with a diverse range of residents and service providers.
