We are looking for a community cook to run a weekly cooking club for young people at a new fantastic youth facility. This is a great opportunity for students or anyone interested in cooking, youth work, or community projects.

Sessions are hands-on, relaxed, and focused on building confidence, learning simple low-cost meals, and reducing food waste.

Sessions will be held at: Weller Youth Centre, Knoll Park, Stapley Road, Hove BN3 7JH

Thursdays (term time) – Working hours: 3:00pm – 6:00pm – £17 an hour (3 to 5 hours a week, sessional)

Requirements

  • Enjoys working with young people and supporting their confidence and wellbeing
  • Is confident in the kitchen and able to prepare simple, healthy meals
  • Communicates well, builds positive, respectful relationships, and is a team player
  • Is reliable, approachable, and able to maintain appropriate boundaries

Contract type 3 to 5 hours a week, sessional

Working pattern Thursdays (term time) 3:00pm – 6:00pm
