The Hacking Games is hiring a full-time Social Media Specialist. You'll lead our TikTok, support Instagram, and run scheduling and posting on YouTube and LinkedIn alongside the Senior Marketing Manager. This is a hands-on content role, with filming, appearing on camera, and posting being core responsibilities. Occasional travel to London for content days is required.

What You Will Do

  • TikTok (primary)
    • Post regular short-form video content to our TikTok channel, including face content.
    • Stay across platform trends, sounds, and formats in real time and adapt content accordingly.
    • Apply working knowledge of the TikTok algorithm to improve reach and performance.
    • Engage with the community: respond to comments, interact with relevant accounts, and participate in trends that fit our brand.
    • Report on performance weekly: views, engagement, follower growth, and what is working.
  • Other socials (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
    • Contribute content ideas, including repurposing what works on TikTok where it makes sense for the channel.
    • Appear in face content where the format calls for it, particularly short-form on Instagram and YouTube.
    • Schedule and publish content across all three channels on a regular cadence.
    • Reply to comments and engage with audiences in a way that fits each platform's tone.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Essential
    • You understand this Gen Z audience.
    • Active TikTok creator with your own account (we will ask to see it).
    • Demonstrable knowledge of how the TikTok algorithm works and how it differs from other platforms.
    • Comfortable on camera. Face content is a core part of this role.
    • Proven ability to grow a TikTok presence, with stats to show for it.
    • Able to commute to London occasionally for content days.
    • Ability to work independently and hit deadlines without heavy oversight.
    • Access to sufficient equipment for recording content to a good standard.
  • Desirable
    • Familiarity with the cybersecurity or gaming space.
    • Understanding of what resonates with audiences interested in hacking, tech, or digital culture.
