We’re seeking a Community & Talent Manager to act as the bridge between emerging cyber talent and industry employers within the HAPTAI Terminal ecosystem. This role combines community building, career development, and employer engagement to create meaningful pathways from education into cybersecurity careers. You’ll work at the intersection of talent development and workforce needs, supporting early-career individuals on their journey, while helping employers identify candidates whose aptitudes and potential align with their roles. Insights from this role will directly contribute to improving the HAPTAI platform, including persona models, matching logic, and overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Candidate Onboarding & Orientation
- Welcome students and early-career candidates into the HAPTAI Terminal
- Support users in building strong profiles (including projects, interests, and activities)
- Introduce aptitude personas and explain how they link to career pathways
- Support integration with schools, universities, and learning programmes
- Pathway Awareness & Skill Development
- Help candidates understand different cyber and tech career paths
- Recommend relevant learning opportunities, including online courses and self-study resources, THG simulations aligned to aptitude profiles, CTF challenges and gamified learning environments
- Support delivery of webinars, events, and mentoring sessions
- Monitor engagement and learning behaviours to guide next steps
- Community & Mentoring
- Build and manage an engaged community across Discord and platform channels
- Establish and support mentoring relationships with industry professionals
- Encourage knowledge sharing (projects, write-ups, peer learning)
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative community environment
- Employer & Job Fit
- Work with employers to clarify role requirements and expectations
- Translate job descriptions into clear capability and aptitude needs
- Match candidates to opportunities based on potential and fit
- Support both candidates and employers through the hiring process
- Act as a bridge between technical requirements and candidate potential
- Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Manage support channels and gather user feedback
- Track engagement, progression, and employer satisfaction
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Feed insights into product and data teams to improve the platform
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
- Background in community management, early careers, or talent development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders (students, educators, employers)
- Comfortable simplifying complex or technical concepts
- Experience working with online communities and digital tools
Desirable Experience
- Experience in cybersecurity, gaming, or technology sectors
- Familiarity with gamified learning or cyber competitions
- Experience working with educational institutions or early-career programmes
- Understanding of aptitude assessment or behavioural frameworks
- Exposure to platforms such as GitHub or online learning communities
