About the role...

As Regional Manager, you'll lead a portfolio of gyms, taking full accountability for their commercial success, operational excellence and people performance. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you'll inspire and develop a high-performing team of Cluster General Managers and General Managers, ensuring every gym delivers an exceptional experience for members while achieving ambitious commercial targets.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll spend time in your gyms, coaching teams, driving standards and identifying opportunities to improve performance. Working closely with central support teams, you'll champion operational excellence, embed company strategy and create a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across your region.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver regional commercial performance, achieving Gym Contribution, EBITDA and membership growth targets.
  • Drive exceptional member experiences by improving retention, satisfaction, engagement and operational standards across every gym.
  • Lead, coach and develop Cluster General Managers and General Managers, building a high-performing leadership team with a strong succession pipeline.
  • Analyse performance data and financial reports to identify opportunities, manage risk and implement targeted improvement plans.
  • Maximise revenue opportunities across membership, Personal Training and ancillary income streams.
  • Ensure all gyms consistently achieve high standards of compliance, health & safety and operational excellence, maintaining audit scores of 95% or above.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational audits, providing hands-on coaching and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Champion a visible leadership style, spending time in gyms supporting teams, engaging members and driving service excellence.
  • Lead the successful implementation of business initiatives, operational projects and strategic change across the region.
  • Build strong relationships with central support functions and external partners to resolve issues quickly and continuously improve performance.
  • Foster an inclusive, values-led culture where colleagues feel engaged, supported and empowered to succeed.
  • Act as the senior operational leader for your region, confidently making decisions, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.

About you...

You'll be an experienced multi-site leader with a proven track record of delivering commercial results through great people leadership. You know how to build engaged, high-performing teams, hold others accountable and create an environment where colleagues thrive.

  • Significant multi-site operational leadership experience, ideally within retail, hospitality, leisure or a customer-focused environment.
  • A strong commercial mindset with experience managing budgets, financial performance and operational KPIs.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a passion for developing future talent.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively, make informed decisions and lead through change.
  • Experience using data and insight to drive performance and improve operational outcomes.
  • A hands-on leadership style, comfortable spending time in your locations supporting and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences and maintaining high operational standards.
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety, compliance and people management practices.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across your region.
