About the role: As a Fitness Manager with The Gym Group, you will support the General Manager in the successful running of the gym and will deputize in their absence. You will be passionate about fitness, eager to engage with our members and team, and embody our company values, supporting and encouraging others to do the same. Your core duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsibility for member engagement by leading our in-gym service offering to drive member satisfaction scores.
  • Line management and leadership of our team of fitness trainers, motivating them to excel and role modeling our values.
  • Taking ownership of our Group Exercise offering by developing the class timetable and upskilling the team.
  • Driving the gym’s commercial performance with a results-driven mindset.
  • Maintaining high operational standards through effective management of cleaning and maintenance, including liaising with third-party suppliers.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety policies and completing regular checks.
  • Supporting the GM with administrative tasks such as rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
  • Acting as a keyholder for emergency support in the absence of the GM.
  • Opportunity to PT within the gym, managing your own time and business, and retaining 100% of your earnings with no annual license fee.

  • Work within compliance parameters while delivering excellent service.
  • Have a proven track record of success and a positive attitude.
  • Are a Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for this qualification.
