About the role... This is a great opportunity to own the energy and sustainability agenda for one of the UK's largest gym operators - shaping how we reduce our environmental impact across hundreds of sites, delivering projects that make a real commercial and environmental difference, and playing a central role in our journey to Net Zero. What you'll be doing...
- Leading the identification and delivery of energy and water reduction projects across our gym estate, including BMS and EMS optimisation, HVAC improvements, solar PV and smart metering.
- Developing business cases for energy investment, modelling return on investment and carbon reduction outcomes for approval by senior stakeholders.
- Managing sustainability and energy projects end-to-end - from feasibility and procurement through to implementation and post-project performance verification.
- Monitoring utility consumption across the full portfolio, analysing data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities to reduce costs and improve environmental performance.
- Supporting the preparation of statutory sustainability reports including SECR and ESOS, maintaining accurate, audit-ready data and governance processes.
- Collaborating with our Acquisition, Development and Design teams to embed energy efficiency and sustainable design into new gym openings and major refurbishments.
- Managing relationships with utility suppliers, contractors, consultants and technology partners to ensure high standards of delivery and value for money.
- Producing clear performance dashboards and management reporting that help our leadership team make informed decisions on sustainability investment.
About you...
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Energy Management, Engineering, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering energy and sustainability projects across a multi-site property portfolio.
- Strong technical knowledge of building services, HVAC, BMS and EMS systems.
- Experience developing business cases for energy investment, including return on investment modelling and budget management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting SECR, ESOS or equivalent statutory sustainability reporting obligations.
- Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across property, operations, finance and external partners.
