About the role…
As Commercial Marketing Manager you will lead in delivering membership growth across our estate through supercharged integrated marketing campaigns on new site openings & refurbishments. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other areas of the business to ensure accurate and timely communication of key trading activities to relevant parties, alongside ensuring each team has access to the relevant information. You will also work alongside our external media, comms and creative agencies to deliver best-in-class media campaigns for our new site openings and refurbishment campaigns.
Key responsibilities…
• Lead the development and execution of integrated commercial and marketing strategies, working closely with internal teams and external agency partners to drive business growth via new site openings & refurbishment campaigns
• Oversee the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives across digital, print, and social platforms .
• Work closely with our media agency and in-house team to test and refine budget phasing and channel mix, using a test-and-learn approach to optimise media effectiveness and ROI. • Partner with the in-house creative studio & Brand Marketing Team to deliver compelling marketing assets to support new gym openings and refurbishment campaigns that drive acquisition and contribute positively to brand health metrics .
• Collaborate with Operations and local teams to design and implement local marketing plans, including events, community engagement, and outreach .
• Track and evaluate the performance of commercial initiatives, using key metrics to inform decision-making and reporting insights to senior leadership .
• Establish and maintain a robust performance measurement framework in partnership with the commercial analytics team, delivering weekly updates to the leadership team .
• Continuously optimise marketing strategies based on campaign performance data and evolving market dynamics .
• Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation .
• Manage the marketing budget effectively, for new gym openings and refurbishment campaigns ensuring all initiatives are cost-efficient and deliver measurable ROI.
About you…
• 3-5 + years\’ experience in a marketing role, ideally in a commercial setting.
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen with an ability to understand data to derive insights that will deliver revenue positive initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker with the ability to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience of working with external media agencies desired, but not essential.
• Previous experience in a subscription or multi-site business desired, but not essential.
