Following an exciting development, The Guinness Partnership is expanding our team and are recruiting for a Housing Assistant to join our team in London on a 12-month fixed term contract. As a Housing Assistant, you will assist with the delivery of the Customer Liaison Service, by providing administrative support and resident query management across the function to achieve positive outcomes for Guinness and customers. This is the first step on our career pathway for housing professionals.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Data input
- Customer data information management
- Raising repairs
- System updates
- Raising purchase orders
- Answering routine resident enquiries
- Making routine outbound calls to residents
This is an agile role with substantial field-based work. Although you’ll have a London office base, much of your time will be spent out on your patch engaging with residents and supporting service delivery.
What we are looking for:

You’ll not only be an experienced housing professional, but you will also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced front-line role
- Experience working to deadlines and targets
- Ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information
- Proven ability to provide accurate and clear responses to routine customer enquiries – by telephone, email, text and in writing
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
Essential qualifications:
Educated to Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) or higher
Desirable qualifications:
CIH Level 3 or working towards.
