We have an exciting opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join the Guinness Team. This is a permanent, full-time, 39 hours per week, vacancy covering sites in Havant, Portsmouth, Waterlooville and the surrounding areas.
The overall purpose of the role is to carry out surveys and property inspections, oversee the delivery of subcontracted repairs and ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Guinness standards and timeframes.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent level of knowledge of building construction standards, and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects.
- Experience of undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
- Understanding of responsive repairs, voids works, planned and cyclical repairs requirements.
- Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative, with limited supervision.
- Experience of managing contractors.
- Excellent standards of customer care and the ability to deliver accurate and clear communications in writing, face to face or by telephone.
- Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, housing & property management systems.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a heavy workload, whilst working on a mobile basis, keeping excellent records.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Educated to Level 4 (HNC in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment or equivalent) or higher.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
Desirable:
- Level 4 VRQ Certificate in Managing Damp, Mould and Customer Care in Housing.
- RICS (Building Surveying) or MCIOB membership.
