The finance team at The Guinness Partnership play a critical role in the success of the organisation. With an overall aim of ensuring Guinness has a strong financial base from which we can be a high performing organisation.
We are recruiting for a Financial Accountant – Tax & Reporting. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, permanent role based at either our Oldham, Bower House or London, Euston Road office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist in the delivery of a high-quality financial service in accordance with agreed timetables.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:
- Essential:
- Experience of tax either in industry or practice, with strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements and ability to keep track of changes.
- Understanding, analysing and communicating matters pertaining to Corporation Tax, CIS or VAT (specifically partial exemption) and the return processes.
- Experience of working with external advisors and supporting the co-ordination, communication and cataloguing of requests.
- Good experience and technical working knowledge relevant to statutory financial statements preparation.
- Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in reconciliation.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
- Desirable:
- Proven experience of leading on the preparation of financial statements for audit and the application of accounting standards.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
- Relevant experience within the social housing sector.
Qualifications
Essential:
- CCAB or CIMA qualified.
