Job Description


About Us Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.


About the Role


We are looking for a Skilled Labourer to join our Empty Homes team covering Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn, and Lancaster to support with emptying, cleaning, painting, damp and mould work, and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8 am - 7 pm Monday - Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis.


To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Oldham area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.


Essential Skills


  • Demonstrate competence within various multi-skills and experience in inner and outer property clearance, basic ground maintenance, mould washes/treatment, and flooring coverings.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, delivering great service.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow procedures, and accurately record information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, following Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely, considering environmental circumstances and possible risks.
