JOB DESCRIPTION About the role The Guinness Property team is recruiting for a Roofers Mate on a full time, permanent basis. This is a field-based role covering locations across the Greater Manchester area. The purpose of this role is to assist a qualified roofer and carry out remedial works to a high standard. What we are looking for We are seeking an experienced roofing professional with the ability to carry out minor remedial roofing repairs, including guttering, slate replacement and leak repairs. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, work effectively to performance targets, and maintain accurate records. A commitment to health and safety is essential, including the ability to undertake physical work, assess risks and operate safely when working at height. You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills: Proven ability to carry out minor remedial roofing works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) guttering and slate replacement, minor leaks. Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets. Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information. Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines. Ability to operate safely, taking into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks including working at height. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Desirable skills: Health and Safety knowledge. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Experience of working within the social housing sector. Desirable qualifications: Level II NVQ.
