We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused individual to join our Planning Service team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality Development Management support and helping to shape sustainable communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in every interaction and engage professionally with the public, Councillors and internal colleagues.
- Respond promptly and effectively to enquiries and support requests, ensuring clear, helpful and timely assistance.
- Work closely with the Customer Contact Centre and support the Complaints and Customer Feedback teams where necessary.
- Support the timely handling of customer, MP and Councillor complaints and feedback, ensuring consistent service standards.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and contribute to data input into DEF and other IT systems to meet statutory and corporate performance indicators.
- Contribute to the Council’s place shaping agenda, supporting the delivery of development that delivers the right schemes in the right place at the right time.
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in planning and development services is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills are required.
